Hinton Railroad Days Festival

The main event! We’ve got three days of vendors, great food, exciting musical performances, and it’s all conveniently located in the heart of downtown Hinton.

SHOPPING

Craft Vendors will be located along Temple Street, Second Avenue and in The McCreery Conference and Event Center from 10am to 6pm during the festival. Find one-of-a-kind handmade goods – purses, jewelry, household items, décor, leather goods, and stained glass along with restored vintage items, birdhouses, and canned jellies and jams.

Local stores have an assortment of items available from clothes and shoes to souvenirs and sundries.

EDUCATION

The Hinton Railroad Museum

Come learn about the history of railroading at this historic, well-curated museum, featuring operating model train layouts, and information on the proud heritage of railroading in Hinton, and the New River Gorge.

            Summers County Historical Society (SCHS) Walking Tours

            Summers County Humane Society – giving away dog treats and magnets

            Veterans Memorial Museum of SWV – display of historical items

Educational Slide Show

The Ritz Theatre will be showing historical pictures and info on the movie screen. Concessions will be available – no attendance required.

ENTERTAINMENT

Kids’ Depot

An area with kids activities can be found on the courthouse lawn. There’s something for all ages with mini train rides, a rock climbing wall, bouncy houses, and face painting.

Music

24 Bands are scheduled to play on the Town Square Stage in City Park and on the Rivertown Stage on the corner of Second Avenue and Ballengee Street. Music will start at Noon and will go on until 9pm on Friday and Saturday, and 4pm on Sunday.
